Judson A. Smith Company is pleased to announce a “new” in-house capability…WIRE EDM.

Judson A. Smith Company recognizes the importance of becoming vertically integrated and continues to invest in state-of-the-art equipment utilizing the latest in process technologies. Our EDM equipment involves a unique technology (High Energy Applied Technology) which allows reduced cutting times (18-44% faster) while maintaining exceptional part straightness. The state of the art cutting technology provides superior performance and surface integrity without sacrificing speed. Our technology will allow improved overall machine throughput and precision which can not be met by other EDM technologies.

 

In effort to drive out operational costs, the machine will provide advanced features for numerous market segments such as medical, aerospace and more where high quality and extremely tight tolerances are required.

 

We offer the ability to use wire diameters from 0.004 to 0.012 inches. The machine travel range is 17.7 x 11.8 x 12.6 inches with a large workplace capacity making it ideal for a variety of applications.
